We are so excited to be sponsoring our Eleventh Annual TROPICAL TREK, but this year instead of a walkathon, we are hosting a dance party! Due to COVID-19, PTA has been limited to the fundraising events we can host due to multiple restrictions. These fundraisers are so important to supporting the bonus programs and materials that benefit our students. This is our only fundraising event of the school year, so we are urging everyone to join the movement and raise funds for our school community. Donation money and business sponsors raised by students will contribute to the success of this fundraiser and there are prize opportunities for the students, too!
Every student in our school will have the opportunity to dance during designated times of the school day. Virtual students will also have the opportunity to participate via remote feed into the dance party.
Each student will be assigned to a morning time dance session on either Thursday, April 22nd or Friday, April 23rd, 2021. Virtual students will also have a time and date to log into the virtual dance feed. All donations and business sponsors will be due no later than March 31st, 2021. The DJ will be live in the Tropical Elementary Cafeteria with a secure virtual camera feed accessible only to those virtual students scheduled for the dance party. Students participating in person will be in the cafeteria in accordance with the COVID-19 safety protocol in place.
Our goal this year is to raise as much as possible with this hassle-free fundraiser. If EVERY student participates through donations we can meet our goals!!! The money raised will be used to enhance the educational programs for all the students at Tropical Elementary. These funds help pay for our PTA-sponsored programs such as Mini Grants, Grade-Level Grants, Tropical Reading Challenge, technology upgrades, school supplies, and many more classroom tools, supplies and enrichment!
By Friday, March 12, you will receive the Trek Donation Envelope with details about the event. If you are unable to come to the school to pickup your Trek packet, you may print the attached forms found HERE. Please remember that completed forms must be signed by parents and returned with collected funds no later than March 31, 2021. Prizes will be distributed/available for pickup Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

It is very important to complete the form to the best of your ability in order for us to match up the donation to the correct student.
